MIMIC is a powerful research tool for analyzing and back-testing your trading strategies. MIMIC makes it easy to create comprehensive price graphs and tables, and its advanced charting capabilities enable you to create superior charts on the fly. With its built-in market knowledge, automatic units and currency conversions, MIMIC is the tool of choice for energy analysis including netbacks and crack/spark spreads.

Some of MIMIC's key features include:

7-Day Intraday Data
MIMIC provides users with the ability to create tables that are easily exported to Microsoft Excel. "Summary Statistics" at the bottom of the table provide such useful information as: Average price for the period, the Maximum and Minimum prices along with Standard Deviation and Last closing price.

Forward Curves
Chart today's market estimate of the price of a commodity at various points out into the future; view multiple curves for a commodity and see the underlying future series in the same chart; see how the forward market view of a commodity evolves over time by comparing the history of the curve with what actually occurred in the spot market

Units and Currency Conversion
Because energy commodities have different units of quotation, it is impossible to sensibly compare commodities without first establishing a common unit of quotation. MIMIC easily converts units and currencies to common units using the built-in unit conversion function.

Charts
MIMIC provides advanced charting capabilities that are easy to use. Just fill in the worksheet, set the time period and select the Chart button. You can set trendlines, zoom into specific areas, and use the "mouse pick" feature to compare the highs, lows and the percentage change in a symbol's price.

Seasonal Analysis
MIMIC enables users to create seasonal analysis studies that chart the price history of a commodity over several years on a single chart in three easy steps: 1) select the "seasonal analysis" function 2) modify the date settings and 3) select the chart.

MIMICExcel
MIMICExcel enables you to run MIMIC from within Excel®, maintaining MIMIC's functionality while seamlessly incorporating table data into Excel from within the Excel environment.

Formulas
We provide access to not only arithmetic computations, but also to the full MIM Formula Library, including technical studies such as: correlation, rsi, macd, and moving averages, to name a few.

Browse Function
Easily access the extensive data in the MIM database by drilling down through folder selections to quickly locate symbol names; use the browser window "search" feature to identify the name associated with a symbol.
