- Internet connection initiated by the MIM
Server for data update delivery using https (tcp8443) to ftp.lim.com
(12.43.226.2)
- SMTP mail relay available to send email to
limupdates@lim.com for MIM Server monitoring
- A dedicated MIM Disk partition sized
according to the table below - cannot be NFS
- Three DBA accounts set up for a Reader,
Writer and a Test MIM Server
- DVD for database distributions
- System Backup Procedures in place
- MIM Servers should run on dedicated systems

- Solaris 10 update 3/4 x86 64bit (preferred
OS to take advantage of ZFS, Snaps and Zones)
- Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 update 3/4

- Any other OS voids MIM Server Support
- Virtual servers, zones, etc - LIM provides
support for the MIM Server in these environments provided the minimum
requirements above are met and the virtualization software is
transparent
