Houston, TX March
12, 2004
-- LIM is proud to announce the upcoming release of
version 3.0 of its MIMIC charting and reporting tool for energy and financial
market analysts. The new software contains powerful functionality to create
server formula expressions stored on the companys MIM database that can be
shared by users throughout the enterprise. Formulas will be stored to a
users own directory but accessible to all other users of the database as
well as the program interface APIs to customers downstream applications.
Because the formulas take advantage of the powerful XMIM query language,
hundreds of expressions and built in macros will be available to users
straight away. The formula functionality is built right into LIMs successful MIMIC application as an additional
module, available to permissioned users. The new version of MIMIC will also be available as an
application that runs directly in Microsoft® Excel. The MIMExcel product interacts directly with the spreadsheet
environment to give users a powerful device to create and edit Excel data
queries. Since the interface with Excel is done using the same MIMIC
application that thousands of users worldwide are familiar with, the company
feels there will be a very short learning curve for those that wish to take
advantage of the new tool. Important product enhancements in the release include a
new tool to create forward curve matrix files. There is also a new “look and
feel” for the software and several new preferences and menu additions to
address evolving user requirements. Sandy Fielden, Energy Products Manager, LIM stated “This
release is another important step in making sure our customers continue to
have access to all the tools they need to manage and manipulate energy and
financial market data, throughout the enterprise.” For more information or to schedule an online
