LIM Data Operations - February 2007 - Change Management - Maintenance Operation Procedure - In accordance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005, beginning in 2007, the start and end date for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. and Canada will change. Daylight Savings Time will start earlier and end later adding about a month to Daylight Savings Time. For 2007, Daylight Savings Time will begin at 2 a.m. on March, 11 2007, the second Sunday in March, and end at 2 a.m. on November 4, 2007, the first Sunday of November. LIM has established a formal plan to review all vendors, data and systems in order to identify and evaluate the need to implement changes where necessary. In the event your system is not compliant or if your system does not send email status notifications to LIM, you will be contacted by a member of the LIM staff in order to coordinate any necessary changes to your MIM server. For Daylight Savings Time compliance your MIM server must meet a required
operating system and Java version. Any upgrades to your operating system needs
to be done through your operating system vendor if LIM does not maintain your
operating system. Any upgrades to your Java version tied to your operating
system needs to be done by contacting Sun Microsystems if LIM does not maintain
your operating system. LIM advises our clients to also review their own internal systems that may be
integrated with LIM's MIM server and take appropriate action where necessary to
ensure the integrated system is compliant. |
